nfcairEvery day, millions of Americans are exposed to toxic chemicals from multiple polluters near their neighborhoods. From Cleveland to Marietta to Cincinnati, Ohioans are exposed, for example, to heavy metals like lead from several different facilities, each with its own lead limits, based on a human exposure assessment. Science and precaution should guide the agency in setting limits for human exposure to chemicals, but for years, U.S. EPA has failed to use up-to-date tools and methods to protect people properly.

Ohio Citizen Action and Neighbors for Clean Air (Marietta) have partnered with EarthJustice to press the agency to correct this problem and do its job.

Final comments on U.S. EPA’s Draft Guidelines for Human Exposure Assessment are due Tuesday, March 22.

Tell the agency to act now to protect vulnerable communities, especially children, from ALL exposures to toxic chemicals in air, water, soil, consumer products and pesticides
